love and support during covid-19

Dear Clients and Friends,

I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well. We are all struggling to balance fear and hope, to find our new normal. Worrying about ourselves and our loved ones, securing food and supplies, working from home, especially with children, are huge challenges.  We can take pride in our resilience and how we are adapting to this new reality.  But even with great coping, it’s natural to be scared, confused, lonely, or restless some of the time. The wellbeing that we worked so hard to attain can feel out of reach.

To ease your stress and spark more hope, there are four articles below that I think you may benefit from.

Please know that I am here for you.  I’m available through multiple secure technologies, such as Zoom, to do the same kinds of therapy and coaching I do in my office,  talk therapy, and relaxation/ visualization/ stress management and coaching on the baby decision  Coaching is available worldwide and psychotherapy is  available to Massachusetts residents and may be insurance reimbursable. We will build on the strengths and coping techniques you already have as well as create new responses to add to your tool kit.

The Zoom meetings we’ve held so far have given me and my clients a surprisingly satisfying sense of intimacy and empathic connection.

Reasons to Schedule a Session

  • To make a personalized, tailor-made relaxation/visualization recording you can listen to at your convenience.
  • To have a tune-up if you haven’t been in for a while, to brainstorm how you can work on your own with specified goals, exercises, and readings.
  • To continue using the momentum that we have enjoyed in recent sessions.
  • To pick up where you left off, if you took a break.
  • To treat anxiety triggered by the pandemic crisis.

It is ironic and frustrating that in our work, you may have achieved a sense of calm and safety, only to be faced with a situation that threatens this sense of wellbeing.  Maybe we worked together on calming thoughts such as “I’m safer than I think.” How do we find equilibrium with the realization that we are currently less safe than we believed?  I would be happy to help you with this.
